5" Maxitrak Baldwin - Fitting the Vinyl Stripe
Просмотров 2078 месяцев назад
Alex and Adam walk you through the process of fitting the vinyl stripe to the side of one of our 5" E.M Baldwin locomotives. These engines were constructed by EM Baldwin and sons of Castle Hill, New South Wales, Australia. The company supplied smaller locomotives for industry from the 1950's to the 1980's. Designs included shunting, mining and tunnel locomotives but the most common surviving en...

Stock of this awesome little engine is getting quite low so if you have been holding out on adding one to your fleet then delay no longer! When they are gone who knows how long it will be before we see them again! maxitrak.com/locomotive-item/34-inch-sentinel-dg6-lorry

Can you guys make a construction no video on how to operate the r1 class 7/4 inch gauge
How many people can it pull?
How do you oil the valve gear once the boiler is on?
It's great to see it running at last! However, next time, could you run it at about a quarter of the great velocity you achieved with the 'Mallard'-beating run there! Also, please tell me about the caboose - I built the last such caboose made as a kit by Mr Sheridan and sold by Phil Dipple of Phil's narrow gauge - it also has a full interior, too.
You are making a great job of that model - I'm still slowly building my Peckett from last year - you've given me real incentive to git'er done!
We can't hear you. Good movie, though.
Thanks for posting this series of videos. I’ll be starting my first build as soon as the kit arrives and time allows!
Thank you Maxitrak and M.E.S. Mine has just arrived, the box is open and I'm nearly ready to go. On a side note I'm very impressed with the box and packaging. 👍
Thank you for posting this and the four Ruby build videos. I have just placed an order with MES and can't wait to get started on my first live steam loco.
God what a cute lovely little thing.
Is the long green part of the boiler (going to the smoke box) only hollow or is it also part of the place where the water goes ?
There’s water in the front part of the boiler along with the burner tube.
nice tutorial. Gives a good view of what to expect from a Accucraft kit.
My Great Great Grandad! Toot toot!
Such a great engine. Your railroad looks fun, too. Will come back to check out more of your videos soon.
Just a thought. Maybe consider this already. Could make a wagon with the same motors and wheels so could give it more grunt.
this had been one of the most help set of videos that i have found for putting together this kit thank you !!! the exploded diagrams are good but having someone show the little techniques that are needed has been very helpful. Thank you !
I'm wondering if a flame guard, like a removable metal mesh panel, would stop the flames blowing out the firebox air hole ?
So many things either completely wrong or missed out. Not a great tutorial for what are probably customers with no experience in model steam.
I really don't like those displacement lubricators that do not have a sight glass in the cab and they do not work on compressed air!
This is Great I never knew. This is the only video on RUclips of the Allchin pulling a person.Thank you for sharing this Great clip.
Incredibly British.
Wow the new one is so much different than the kit I bought a few years back
Looks a lot more British
ชอบการอธิบายนี้มากฉันเข้าใจการทำงานรถไฟไอน้ำนี้แล้วขอบคุณครับ
Delightful series!
Where is part 3 ?
be interesting to see the motors ,controller and it running on track to show it pulling carriages
ruclips.net/video/woasAFx8ZwY/видео.html
Just found your channel and Subscribed. Nice engine
Thanks guys! 👍 Pro job! I've also found that you don't want to pull a stretch into the vinyl as the tension works to loosen the adhesion to the surface.
Great tip!
im getting one some time in January so is vid was really helpful
I think its easy to disable the dead man button... Just tape it down
I have a yellow one of these and I really recommend them for beginners and other they are easy to drive and great locos so I do recommend
My boss bought one of these at Train Mountain, because of him I bought one to. We both love our tractors and I love sharing it and letting kids drive it around my live steam club. Would love to see a 2" version of this model
Is there any place in the US where I could get this?
Hi do you install sound as a option
Why gas ? These things need Welsh steam coal !!!!!
Far too small to operate reliably and easily on coal, gas firing makes for a much easier run.
What a fantastic little machine!
Beautiful, can you do another one of these in the future with the 3/4 scale version please and Alice. They are two amazing engines
You guys should make a 2 inch scale, a little more practical for a rally field!!
Are you guys going to do a coal fired version??
Nothing planned at the moment for this model, though will be bringing back a popular 1" coal fired in the near future. Watch this space!
@@MaxitrakMes does that model come with a crankshaft feedpump option for water?
As an optional extra. As standard it is designed to be a one fill/one run model.
A beautiful looking engine, but the repetitive retopping up of the gas, and the time it takes to get steam up, would irritate me. Although gas is very clean, i think that in this case with this engine, you would be better off with a proper fire box with a grate, and run on Coal beans.. The only problem then of course, is it has no boiler feed pump to keep the boiler supplied, as unlike gas- coal cannot be extinguished quickly and easily if the water level gets low! So im at a loss for an answer!😅
A truly BEAUTIFUL engine, and my only criticism, is if needs a belly tank, with a boiler feed pump, and a mechanical lubricator.. Other than that, its impossible to say anything negative about this superb work of art!
Hi, great tractors you made! I have, since many years, Fowler Coal Fired that run again in perfect condition! Thanks and cheers Fabrizio
Splendid stuff! I think gas fired is the best choice since unlike coal fired it can be run indoors. A hinged smokebox door would be nice.
Hi what is the wheel base distance on the Brush? thanks in advance, Been eying one of these off, But I Just couldnt find that info on the specs, cheers
What weight is this capable of pulling please.
Roughly 100 Kg on level ground
i think you guys should make a 2 inch scale te, id buy one@@MaxitrakMes
does the model with the belltank option and handpump come with the crankshaft pump fitted? because i want to get one from accucraft in california, im from the us @@MaxitrakMes
Hi, do you sell the ride on trailers?
Hi I’m building a 12 motor maxi track 66 what size batteries would you recommend
.
For s small scaled down engine it has a really nice beat.
Beautiful loco & great sound, thanks for sharing!! Do you know where I might be able to find rail this size? Everything I can find is 1” tall rail, love the look of this smaller stuff.
